Merchandise

Official Square Enix Online Store
Online store of the actual game company; supposedly carrying slime plushes soon. In the meantime, they sell DQ jewelry and keychains. Oh, and items from some series called "Final Fantasy."

Amazon.com Japan
I haven't actually ordered from their Japan site, but they do ship internationally. I mainly use them as a reference for new books and their ISBNs. Be sure to search in katakana.

Good's Land Dragon Quest Store
THE place to drool over DraQue merchandise. They don't ship internationally, though, so all you can do is drool. ;_;

Yahoo! Japan Shopping
This is another good reference site for finding out about recent DQ books.

Yahoo! Japan Auctions
The famous YJ!A. Has pretty much everything a person could ever want game-related, but you need to have a lot of money, know someone who lives in Japan, or pay extra to go through a middleman. They no longer accept international bidders unless you have a Japanese bank account. *NOTE: eBay and Y!JA have formed a partnership and Americans will be able to access from Japanese auctions starting sometime in 2008.

National Console Support, Inc.
An American company run by gamers, for gamers. Their prices are more than reasonable. They currently carry several types of plush slimes, as well as the recent Japanese game releases.

CD Japan
Great source of Japanese music of all kinds, and best of all - they ship outside Japan!

GameMusic.com
Video game soundtracks galore, plus books, DVDs, and toys. They are located in the United States.

JPQueen
Reliable as eBay seller and online storekeeper.

HobbyLink Japan
Variety of import goodies.

Play-Asia
A great site for importing game-related merchandise.

Celga
A middleman service to use for Yahoo! Japan Auctions. I have not used their services, but I have several friends who have and found them to be fairly reliable.

High-quality CG artwork, particularly of Saro and Rosa of DQIV.

Very cute "paper dolls" of Alena and Krift.

Dam Dam Dam
Web site of the Dam Dam Dam doujinshi circle. They specialize in Alena and Krift, and their artwork is extraordinary.
